A 25-year-old British man has been left with a brain injury after he fell 22ft from a supermarket car park in Ibiza.

He fell from the Mercadona supermarket car park in the holiday resort of San Antonio just after 8pm yesterday.

The man was taken to hospital by paramedics who managed to save him at the scene.

It is not known where in the UK the man is from or whether he was on his own or with other people when he fell.

A source said: ‘Yesterday a 25-year-old man fell from the car park of the Mercadona supermarket in San Antonio.

‘He was taken by an advanced life support ambulance to the Nuestra Senora del Rosario Polyclinic where he was admitted at 21.38.

‘The patient,a British national, remains in the intensive care unit in a very serious condition after suffering a traumatic brain injury with a skull fracture, dorsal vertebral fractures, chest trauma and a collapsed lung,as well as abdominal injuries and injuries to his spleen and liver all caused by the fall.’

An investigation into the incident has been launched by Spain’s Civil Guard.

Last week Evan Thomson,26,from Aberdeen, fell from a balcony at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel.

He was pronounced dead at the scene while the Civil Guard is investigating what happened.

Tributes were paid to him, including from his mum on Facebook who wrote: ‘I’m absolutely heartbroken to write and tell you all, earlier this week my son Evan was in a tragic accident whilst on holiday with his friends in Ibiza and sadly passed away.

‘We are all absolutely broken.’

In August 2024,Emma Ramsay,19,fell from the sixth floor of Hotel Vibra District,an adults-only four-star hotel in San Antonio,Ibiza.

The former head girl from Hamilton,South Lanarkshire, was filmed partying with friends hours before the incident.
